Dust Adrift has been playing together since 2018. In the early days - playing by the name All in the Gutter - the band performed mostly on the streets, busking around the Netherlands, incidentally road tripping to Belgium and Germany. It's on the streets and on the road where the band found most of its inspiration. Early songs, like 'Grow' and 'Roadside', emerged out of jams and street improvisations. In 2023, the band released its first album 'Looking at the Stars'. Eight songs were recorded and mixed by Thimo Geijzen at the 'Nijmeegse Stadsnomaden', a free space and the band's major home base. Dust Adrift is inspired by Life itself, and plays an eclectic mixture of ambient meditative music, hiphop, reggae and some spoken word, all the analog way. Incidentally, the band might decide to play improv full on: unpredictable and hard for algo-rhytms to catch.
